Healthy 2 Ingredient Pancakes!!
Ok so I'm always looking for a healthy alternative to give my son and husband. I saw this one online and decided to try it. You will need:
1 banana
3 large eggs
A mixer
I just used my mixer, sprayed the pan, pour and your done!
Top with fruit or syrup. I am a big stickler for consistency and they are a little to airy for me but I think if I add some almonds or pecans it will be fine. To me it tastes like banana bread or french toast.

Fever, Roseola!!!! Poor Baby
On Friday I was going about my day, went to go play volleyball and my husband and my 16 month old son came to watch. My husband handed me the baby to hold and he felt kind of hot but after playing volleyball thought it was just me. We went to the store where I noticed that he was more cranky then usual. I felt his head and chest and he was burning up!!! I though it might just be teething because his fangs and possibly a molar or two might be coming out. :(
I took his temperature rectally and it was over 100 degrees but the temperature and his grumpiness were his only symptoms. Again I'm thinking teething (he has never been sick in his life). Another day goes by he is now grumpy, hot, and doesn't want to eat!! I checked his temperature again that night and it was 104.4!!!! I am getting so nervous at this point because I know that teething gives them a mild temp but this by far was not mild!!! I'm thinking it's late and I don't want to take him to the emergency room, let's try some home remedies.
Here's what I do:
Room temp bath and a dose of Advil brought it down to where I felt comfortable not taking him in.
His temp came up again so I gave him another bath this time with vinegar, I also soaked a pair of his socks in vinegar and put them on him straight out of the bath. It was amazing how fast his temp went down (you have to be careful with that too). We went to bed and of course he woke up several times throughout the night and felt more comfy sleeping with mom and dad (it was the only way we got any sleep too). The next morning we woke up and the fever was gone but he was still fussy and didn't have an appetite only now I noticed that he had little red spots on his neck and face. I called his ped and was told to bring him in. I was told it was a virus and that there was nothing we could do but let it run it's course cause now that the fever was gone he was no longer contagious. Today he still has some spots but his appetite is back and he is smiling again!! YAY! You feel so bad when your kids are sick and can't tell you what's wrong.
So Roseola a.k.a type of measles, sixth disease, you suck! Never come back!

Lasagna
I made a whole lasagna lastnight and then remembered my husband wasn't home yet! I didn't want it to go bad or to waste so I wanted to come up with a great way to store it. Have you heard about those portion baggies from Ziploc? I love them! So I cut up my cold lasagna and used the portion bags and put 2 portions into one Glad freezer containers for later!! Happy Freezing and don't forget to write the date on it so there's no guessing later!

Life is hectic!
I need help!
So I have been extremely busy!! Our Minnesota Home is officially on the market. YAY!! This makes going home a reality and I like it. We are thinking about the baby and I going home soon because it would just be a pain to keep the house clean and bundle the baby up if someone wants to see the house. It just makes sense to go home and get our permanent house ready to live in and maybe find a part time job or register for school, maybe both. Now that I will hopefully have the help of my family it might be easier to work or just run errands. I am hoping that my excitement isn't all for nothing, you know how sometimes you can build something up and build it up then when it happens it isn't as great as you anticipated and it's crushing! I am hopeful that going home is all that I have imagined it to be, after all I have been building it up for 6 years, since I left.
On another note I am quickly approaching becoming a mom to a 1 year old!! I can't believe it! My baby boy is going to be a year old. That expression is so true, you know the one "they grow up right before your eyes." I feel so bad because we will be in the middle of the move and I'm not sure about a birthday party. What do I do have it early with just my husband and the baby here or have a party a couple months later without my husband but with the rest of the family? I can do both but it is so hectic around here, the question is will EJ even remember? Am I getting all worked up over nothing. Of course I'm not IT'S HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY!! He will only get one, I will only get one! I am so conflicted........Help!

Garage Sale Anybody!
I just want to let you all know that I am so sorry that I have been missing from the blog world! Some of you know that my husband is retiring from the Army after 20 years and we are moving back home!! We have been really busy trying to get the house ready to sell and with a 10 month old it can be difficult. In the process I am looking forward to getting rid of a lot of items we do not use!! Garage Sale anybody?? I have been looking up great tips for a productive garage sale.
1: Advertise!!
I am going to post an ad in the local newspaper and an ad on Craigslist. Also I have heard that it might be in your best interest to ask your neighbors if they want to have a neighborhood sale! (If you are selling big items that you can not bring outside, make sure you advertise that you have a couch or a table whatever it may be inside for sale)
2: Be Prepared!!
Make sure you have all clothing items washed, hung and labeled the night before!
Make sure you clean items that have been sitting around collecting dust (nobody wants something all grimy)
If you are selling games and movies, make sure you have all the pieces and that the movie is in the case!
Go to the bank and get change, it's a great way to lose a sale if you don't have change to give back! (Don't have a cash box, keep cash on you at all times)
Have bags available to carry merchandise in.
3: Be nice!
Greet the people with a smile and chat if they want to chat. Sometimes you can tell if they are chatty or not, if not it's best that you say hello and give them space to browse.
4: Be ready to negotiate!
Especially if you are having the garage sale to get rid of things and not just to make money! I think I will be giving a lot of things away!
